After much controversy it was decided that humanity should seed the barren planets with life. The first far voyagers were human embryos kept in suspended animation until their intelligent ships could locate worlds capable of sustaining life. The humanoid forms fostered on these worlds evolved to become nearly unrecognizable to take best advantage of their new environment. However, whenever one of these creatures awakens in its birthpod, it experiences a brief flash of ancient hereditary memory like an echo across time and space. The alien landscape becomes a fantastical parody of earth's own history and architecture. This vision soon fades to be overtaken by the true nature of the dreamer's strange new world.
